Mission Statement

More Than Carpentry Christian Ministries is a holistic program that exists in order to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of individuals through apprenticeship-training and education in carpentry, which integrates Christian discipleship and life skills.

Vision

The overall vision of More Than Carpentry Christian Ministries (MTC) includes addressing the problem of unemployment and underemployment in the Wellston and St. Louis areas as well as addressing the decline of skilled woodworkers in the construction industry. MTC accomplishes these goals by hiring employees that other companies may be reluctant to hire and providing these employees with the necessary support to enable them to change their course toward permanent employment, making stable, successful employment a realistic opportunity. Beyond employment training, MTC’s ministry to the spiritual needs of individuals seeks to provide support and stability for their whole lives. All of the services of More Than Carpentry Christian Ministries enables its apprentices and employees to provide for themselves and their families, and makes them more productive and beneficial members of their communities.
