The overall vision of More Than Carpentry Christian Ministries (MTC) includes addressing:

• Unemployment and underemployment in Wellston and St. Louis areas
• Decline of skilled woodworkers in the construction industry

MTC accomplishes these goals by:

• Teaching the skill of cabinetmaking
• Providing necessary support to enable students and apprentices to change course toward permanent employment
• Making stable, successful employment a realistic opportunity

Beyond employment training, MTC:

• Addresses the spiritual needs of individuals.
• Seeks to provide long term support and stability.

All services of More Than Carpentry Christian Ministries enable apprentices and employees to:

• Provide for themselves and their families
• Be more productive and beneficial members of their communities
